In 1998 Golden Gas purchased depleted gas wells from Berexco and an abandoned pipeline from Williams Companies. Following the acquisition GGSC made necessary modifications to inject into and withdraw natural gas into the Hunton Formation. Golden Gas Service Company has used this storage capacity to actively trade physical gas with utility, industrial, and gas producers for over 30 years.
